A protest organised by the Union of Police Officers in the Dodecanese took place today at the Symi Police Station. A group of police oficers from Rhodes together with the President of the National Union of Police Officers, Mr Christos Fotopoulos, came to Symi and were joined by their colleagues on the island and opened up posters protesting about understaffing and underfunding when it comes to dealing with illegeal immigration, improved building conditions, hygiene, security, and increased pay for officers guarding the borders of Greece.

Good for them and best of luck to them with their protest - they are dealing with issues that would be a problem for much bigger police forces and they are right to protest and seek improved conditions of service.
